
Representative Danny Garrett was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives on November 4, 2014. He earned a B.S. degree in Commerce and Business Administration and a Master of Tax Accounting degree from the University of Alabama and passed the Alabama Certified Public Accountancy examination in 1983. During his career, spanning 36 years, Representative Garrett served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer for several local, national, and international manufacturing companies with average revenues ranging from $150 million to $1.5 billion. He served as a member of the University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Commerce Board of Visitors, the Advisory Board of the Alabama Productivity Center, and the Trussville Rotary Club. Representative Garrett also served as vice president of the Trussville City School Board of Education from 2010-2014. He is a member of the Board of Innovate Alabama. Representative Garrett has been married since 1984 to his wife, Carol, and they have three married adult sons and three grandchildren. He is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Trussville.
